Justyna Cieślikowska

Justyna Cieślikowska is a photographer and visual artist combining photography, film, and graphic design. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Wrocław and the Faculty of Media Art at University of Fine Arts in Poznań. She is a two-time recipient of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage scholarship. She participated in the Reminders Photography Stronghold workshop in Tokyo and the satellite exhibition at KYOTOGRAPHIE 2023 in Kyoto.

In her practice, she focuses on topics related to history and the complexities of the contemporary world. Her background as a photo editor shapes her interest in photo book projects exploring memory, identity, and traces of human presence. She merges documentary photography with a modern visual language. The dummy for her photobook Files was shortlisted for the international Paper Photo Festival 2026.

Her commercial work centers on portrait and editorial photography. She has worked for publications such as Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita, Polityka, Newsweek, Tygodnik Powszechny, Forbes, Press,  Ruch Muzyczny, Sukces, and Machina, as well as for advertising agencies and private clients.
